In the year 1992, Sri Shakthi Association (SSA) was started under the leadership of Smt. Laxmibai, freedom fighter and anti Alcoholic activist. Over the last 24 years from this modest beginning, SSA grown from strength to strength and expanded its activities covering 8 districts of Karnataka.

Organization has established three IRCAs, one is at Harihara, second is at Chikmagalur and third one is at Kodagu.
This program is introduced with the main purpose of helping Alcoholics and Drug Addicts to come out of addiction and to become constructive and productive citizens. It helps the addict’s complete abstinence from alcohol and drugs in any form and under any conditions for the rest of the patient’s life.
IRCAs have adopted a holistic approach with the help of a multi-disciplinary team. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment support this program. We have conducted all National Festivals. In the year 2020-21 about 1,339 patients have taken treatment in these three centers.
