In the year 1992, Sri Shakthi Association (SSA) was started under the leadership of Smt. Laxmibai, freedom fighter and anti Alcoholic activist. Over the last 24 years from this modest beginning, SSA grown from strength to strength and expanded its activities covering 8 districts of Karnataka.
Donate NowOrganization is running this program with the main purpose of helping the neglected senior citizens in the communities. Shelter, food and medical care are provided to the senior citizens. Organization has senior citizen home located in Harihara and Kodagu. Senior citizens also take part in-group prayer meetings and bazans, which gives them, comfort. Senior citizens also help in the Garment units and in the Notebook units. These activities lead them occupied and gain confidence in their lives. Doctors visit the home regularly and provide medical care to the senior citizens. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment support this program.
This program is running since from 1994-95. In the year 2020-21 about 209 senior citizens accommodated in these 5 Aged Care Homes.
Senior citizens also take part in-group prayer, meetings and Bhajans, which gives them, comfort and happiness. Senior citizens also help in the Garment and Notebook production units. Central Government and State Government support this Program.
